Tied against the Tide
It looked as if this shackle hadn't been undone for some time. .

The splash of red is refreshing and counters the sense of confinement from the shackle. Nice work, as usual!
This is very imaginative and very colourful Ellie: I like it a lot
This is really quite interesting. My focus is on the materials on show, plastic, nylon and steel and seaweed !
Well seen, as always, Ellie.
I love the detail of this shackle, Ellie, as well as the color. It makes you wonder if/how this could ever be UNshackled!
I don't think the boat wants to be let go, Ellie! Very good capture here.
Well spotted and very well captured. Great colours and lighting!
Great shot - tremendous colours Ellie
Yes, it's the method and materials of fixing that really makes this ... and the organic drapes are a bonus. richard
Another interesting detail, Ellie, and I like the title
According to the signs of the tides, the sea has tried a couple of times to gather this boat in. According to the shackle the sea also uses silent and secret tactics to break the shackle down. One day when it makes another grab, the sea will succeed.
Great capture.
Excellent image - I love the composition and the detail. I also agree with you that it doesn't look like freedom is a word in this boats vocabulary any more! Beautiful!!
Very nice capture. Love the title, it 's very good.
Ellie: Thanks Frank, I don't often use anything other than the obvious for a title - and even so, this seemed obvious for this picture - delighted you like the picture too.
I hope the rust will not make it any weaker, this is a very strong picture, love the colors, great DOF
The curve of the red boat and framing really accentuate the concept of holding tight.
Rich and characterful image, Ellie...and, beautifully composed.
Love the colours, Ellie, and the way they show up the rusty shackle.
Bits of boats, another of my favourite subjects Ekkie and I really like this one with all its detail.
What an interesting shot - the rust, ropes, colors, and textures all work really well together.
Gosh - that's bright. Love the contrast between the red of the boat and the beach beyond.
Need a bit of WD40 to undo that! Nice mix of shapes and colours
Great colour and a nice sense of tension.
Attached hook line and sinker. A strong powerful composition Ellie
Very nice DOF and contrast on this one. Wonderful shot
Lovely shot Ellie.
It all been said, Ellie! Great shot. (:o)
Been walking by the sea, I see.
A lovely series here Ellie, and this is a cracker for the bold colour, the composition and the selective focus. You really are getting good at this, aren't you?
Wonderful colortones and so detailed, great job Ellie !
