Spring green
Silver Birch leaves and catkins. I'm intrigued by the way pictures change character depending on the background. Could you try the white page, by clicking on the little box up at the top left, and tell me which you prefer. Thanks. edit Please, if you've got time, could you have a look at Mats Elting's pictures, I'm sure you'll enjoy them as much as I do. http://mellting.shutterchance.com/archive.php .

Beautifully simple and simply beautiful. And I think the white b/g drains colour from this image- stick to black.
I prefer it against the black background as it strengthens the shadows and offsets the highlights on the leaves.
The dark one for me, Ellie.
Great macro Ellie! Signs of spring!
Works best for me with the black wallpaper, Ellie.
This is a beautiful image, of the kind I try to produce from time to time.
Awesome DOF and very nice clarity.
Lovely shot Ellie. :o) John
You KNOW I'm gonna say BLACK. This is beautiful, Ellie!
Beautiful composition Ellie. The black one for me!
I think you are entering a creative spin like with the sheep - go for it. Excellent composition and DOF as they say.
White is to bright, the black is more subtle. Nice use of DOF Ellie
Great DOF !!! I love that ...
Great shot. I really love the backgound
Thanks for the plug.
Great photo Black is best
Lovely seasonal photograph, Ellie.
Yes! Black is best!
Lovely macro too!
Oh yes, you have captured the English spring perfectly, clean and bright, and definitely better on the black background.
So simple Ellie and yet very captivating. To my mind, with the white b/g.it hits you in the eye when you look at it.
Black is the new white Ellie. Such a beautifully delicate image as well. richard
Cool capture
Fantastic colors! The browns are gorgeous. Very nice composition. Bravo!
Ah, the glory of spring...and its not raining
The arrow thing doesn't work on my machine ( I've wondered what it was ! ) but I like this version, well it's the only one I can see
