Greenfinch - Carduelis chloris
Here's looking at you ... This is a female Greenfinch, Carduelis chloris, is not as brightly coloured as the male. The Greenfinch was listed amongst the top 15 UK garden birds in the 2007 RSPB Birdwatch. This bird was in our garden, picture taken through a window. Do you think she spotted the camera? .

Nice capture. I especially like the bird's inquisitive pose. Clearly wondering "why is that human pointing a big cylinder at me?".
I think he read the brand of your lense.
Lovely pose!
Curiosity captured on film!
Yep, she spotted you as you did her...she is wondering why you did not come out to give her some treats for her nicely posing.....great shot her again Ellie.
Either the camera or her own reflection.
Dear Eleanor (just trying the name for size and feel) yesterday and today's pictures both have a haziness about it. Which I now gather is the result of 'through the window'. You can fix that with a touch of contrasting.
Ellie: The haziness you might be able to see, which I can't, is probably caused by the weather, it hasn't been good lately, damp and dull.
Oh the brown hues are wonderful. You've caught this little girl looking so curiously at something!
He's so cute !!!
And seem to be wondering why I'm looking at him and asking the question ...
without a doubt she has you spotted...crazy humans. whats this wierd black thing they all seem to stick in their eye and point at us...oh well, lets humour them
Thats a beautiful capture ! She looks surprised
She certainly looks like she is posing for your! A beautiful capture.

Ha! one greenfinch. You wait Ellie
Ellie: I am waiting
There was a male out there today, he looked wonderful, but too quick for me. They aren't regular visitors to our garden.
What a knowing look you have caught ;o)
She even has her hands behind her back in this inquisitive look, Ellie.
What a wonderful look.
