Blue tit - Parus caeruleus
Determination? This little chap was about to launch itself towards a bird feeder. It had spent several moments checking the coast was clear. They move so quickly, quite jerkily too, hard to catch the focus, especially on a dull day. This is a Blue tit, Parus caeruleus. The ones in our garden seem quite pale, the blue only showing bright when it's sunny. I don't know if it's a very local thing or not. .

Great capture cute little fellow
Ellie: Thanks
Any suet involved?
Ellie: Absolutely no suet anywhere, nowhere at all - sunflower seeds, peanuts and loose seed on that day
The framing is very nice!
...the bird too!
Ellie: Thanks Remi
Beautiful capture. Excellent details and colors. Like the way you composed this shot with the bird on the right side and the branch making a diagonal through the picture.
Ellie: Thanks John, I was quite pleased with the way the crop worked out, glad you are too
Kenz is up here with me enjoying this birdie as much as I am. A new one for both of us.
Ellie: That's good, thanks Mary
It's a precious capture, Ellie. Lots of negative space for the little birdie who wants to spread it's wings and fly.
Ellie: ... and that look of determination too, I thought ... It made me think of a child wanting to try something new, almost.
Helo Ellie. lovely image. This little fellow looks in very good condition , many blue tits lack even this amount of colourand are quite tatty. You have a very nice bird here.
Ellie: They should be in good condition here, they eat enough! They've paired up and are ready for nesting - not long now
Lovely capture, Ellie. I love blue tits, but you are right when you say they are difficult to photograph. They move so quickly, and it`s always hard to predict their direction. (:o)
Ellie: It isn't till I point the camera at them, when they're away from food, that I realise quite how fast they are, and also how unpredictable!
Beautiful capture. I like your composition with the diagonal branch!
Ellie: Thanks Richard, glad you do
We all look better when the sun shines! This is a lovely picture Ellie
Gorgeous! I'm glad you were able to capture him!!
Pretty, perky little bird, Ellie.
Nicely captured too.
The flitting nature of these little birds has kept me quite busy in the past
Hi Ellie,
This is good shot. Seeing ur shots, I started liking birds more than i did...Inspiration... Birdwatching will be great for me cpz' there are several sorts here.
A new likey for me
THIS is a handsome little fella, I am envious on your patience, I have to learn that too, great one.
excellent photo. great DOF, composition & light. beautiful subject. well done ellie!
You certainly seem to get a lot of birds near where you live Ellie and you photograph them so well.
A cracking capture as usual, Ellie. Composition is good and all the focus is rightly on the little guy. I hope he got his reward. Does he work for peanuts, by the way?
Good catch Ellie, I like this pose
No Ellie, ours are the same - but they do brighten up in the breeding season - like now.
This is a lovely, well-balanced capture. Have you used any sharpening? I think the eye could just use a touch.
Such a fine job for a hurriedly-taken picture.
