Beautiful picture of a beautiful place, Ellie. Brightens the day!
Ellie: Thanks Ray, with luck you'll see some more
Wow what a hit of colour, love the reflections in the windows, excellent Photo Ellie
Ellie: It's a very photogenic building, which the University uses for a lot of their publicity
It's a riot of red, Ellie, a conflagration of crimson... you get the idea.
Ellie:
I like the framing of the door. Looks too good for students! Good luck with your entry.
Ellie: Ah, the vfxy thing is a melting pot, the site's very popular. This building though, is gorgeous.
Hi Ellie, you have my vote for sure. This is defnitely a likey for me. Love the composition.
Ellie: Thank you Kay, that's very kind
Nice shot Ellie. My daughter Kathryn did he BA at Reading.
Ellie: Thanks Bill. Good to hear of somebody else who was at Reading, it seems a good University and some departments are very high up the lists
This is a great picture with so much colour and reflections and those dark stairs leading up to..... what?
Once the Virginia Creeper turns red you know that autumn is on its way. Its one of the few things I miss about England (the creeper, not the Autumn!).
Ellie: Ah, well I know what's at the top of those stairs!
Odd thing about Virginia Creepers this year is that some of them began to turn in August, but still have their leaves
Oh, and welcome back, Ellie.
Ellie, HELP!. Every time you ask us to vote, I follow your link to the VXFY site, but cannot find out how to vote. Am I being thick and missing something obvious/
Ellie: There's a "rate blog" button, but I have a feeling you need to be listed on vfxy to be able to vote.
It's a good place to share your blog, there's some sort of mutual support for S/C sites too, although I haven't a clue how it works.
Terrific red image Ellie.
Ellie: I don't think there could be many more shades of red. Thanks Aussie
Love the colour, but then I would, wouldn't I
Ingrid
Ellie: Of course! Hadn't thought of that!
warm fall colors
Ellie: Yes, autumn is a favourite time for me too, the colours are always so warm and glorious
I did not realise that Reading university looked like that Ellie.
Ellie: This is only one of the Halls, the oldest one, the rest of the university is much more modern. The campus itself is beautiful, there's even a lake!
beautiful, I saw some of these red leaves on my way home omnly last night and thought about taking some shots, they're such a vibrant colour.
Ellie: I hope you remember to go back and take some pictures, Virginia Creepers always have such vibrant colours that they're worth recording
Autumn is upon us!
Ellie: It is. It always makes me a bit sad, because I don't like winter, but I do love the autumn colours
Long time without visiting, Ellie. You follow with very pretty photos! Here we have a good sample of the station of next year, the autumn!
Ellie: Good to hear from you Jose. Glad you like these colours
This is lovely Ellie. A couple of weeks more & they'll all be down
Ellie: Yep, and then it'll get cold.
Good to see you posting again, and good luck with the competition ;o)
Ellie: "Competition" is a bit of a misnomer really, it's just a page of pictures with the hope that somebody or other out there will click and enjoy what I upload.
Getting back properly is going to take a bit of time after the break, there's a lot of catching up to do
Framed in red. Great catch ... errr frame.
Ellie: *grin*
Yes beautiful picture of a beautiful place.
