Royden Pond

This is a beautiful little pond in Royden Woods, within the New Forest. It's within an area managed by Hampshire Wildlife Trust.
.....

I've chosen this picture as my first upload after such a long break because, at long last, we're reaching the end of some rather essential work in our garden. The last thing to do is finish putting in a pond - in ground that slopes in as many different directions as possible!

We're almost there and, if the weather holds, we'll have a bit more time for other things by the end of this coming weekend.

Apologies for dropping out of view so suddenly, but we've so busy that the computer hasn't been turned on very often, and I'm embarrassed to admit that I haven't even been checking emails. I'll do my best to look at my mail this weekend.

I'd like to thank everybody for their best wishes, which Chris passed on yesterday. We had a lovely day, St Cross worked its' magic and we discovered that you simply can't see all of Winchester Cathedral in an afternoon - so we'll have to go back again :-)
